Welcome to, a resource dedicated to the life and works of Mervyn Vicars, an english classical composer born on the 14th December 1905, the eldest son of the distinguished conductor, Harold Vicars and his wife Frances. Mervyn Vicars was a dedicated and talented composer, conductor and cellist whose musical career has inspired and influenced many across the 20th century.

Mervyn Vicars has composed many works throughout his career, many of which are available for viewing or duplication on request. Although there have been various performances, his music has not yet attracted the recognition that it deserves.

This website aims to provide insight into his musical talent and life, contains Mervyn’s biography, a catalogue of all musical compositions, press articles, photography, and personal correspondence relating to his music.  Musical scores are available on request, please contact us.
